The second annual Biodiversity Information Management Forum will take place on 9 & 10 June 2009 at Kirstenbosch, Cape Town. [Register here]

The theme for the forum is “Capacity and Skills Development”.

The workshops on offer this year are:

An introduction to managing biodiversity data with Specify.

Discuss editing terminology, methodology and an organizational approach to editing GIS data.

Learn about the various GBIF approved standards and how to implement the standards and protocols through theory and practice.
